Custom Berm design and creation based on data specific survey results allows the protective berm to act as natures barrier and prevent the sand movement and build up on highways.

By applying TerraFirma TF-2000 polymer to the protective berm you can be assured that the final finish will be environmentally friendly, save you money and help prevent unnecessary accidents.

TerraFirma making the regions rail networks safer

Within the GCC region sand, dust and rain storms affect most of the rail network creating daily life-threatening erosion of embankments and sand movement issues that are known to cause major accidents and derailments.

The GCC Railway will soon connect all six GCC nations with a network running through Kuwait City, Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, Doha in the State of Qatar, Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, and Manama in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Sand movement and embankment erosion will affect over 90% of this network.

Just 1″ of sand over the top of the rail is hazardous to the train operation and the passengers onboard

In April 2015, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, suffered a major sand storm that lasted 3 days with variable wind speeds more than 160kph and visibility less than 50m in places. All train services to and from Riyadh were cancelled due to safety fears.

Recent bad weather has seen excessive rain fall causing embankment erosion to unprotected rail lines with disastrous consequences, derailments and vital line closures leading to massive income loss and major repair bills.
